{youtube}a-T0KZnaxds{/youtube} Colours continue their stellar run of line-ups this May Bank Holiday Weekend as two of house music’s modern geniuses make an appearance at The Arches. With some of the countries greatest line-ups in 2009 under their belt already, this next event is sure to keep that momentum rolling. Headlining the night is none other than the Swedish musical god, Steve Angello, who makes his first outing at The Arches in over 2 years. Support on the night comes from the Scottish DJ who’s making his debut at the venue, Chris Lake. These guys fire out amazing productions, with almost every track becoming a dance floor smash. If their tunes are anything to go by then clubbers are surely in for a night full of the most upfront and fantastic house music. The party starts at 11PM, with 2-hour sets from both stars, so make sure you get there early to avoid disappointment! {youtube}JUNaQUMBwHQ{/youtube} Steve Angello is a Colours favourite, having made his debut Scottish appearance with them over 5 years ago. He’s come a long way since then, with well over 100 tunes to his name (or many cheeky aliases!), so it’s about time he comes to the faithful Colours crowd. Steve is part of the club smashing team, the Swedish House Mafia, which has slowly been taking over parties from Ibiza to Miami to the UK’s very own Creamfields. Along with Axwell, Laidback Luke and best friend Sebastian Ingrosso, the Swedish House Mafia are the hottest thing in club land right now. As a team they perform mammoth sets with stunning visuals and dancers, however as individuals they simply blow the speakers with their sets. Expect nothing less than outstanding from Steve Angello as he brings the excitement he’s so widely known for to The Arches. {youtube}S9EBaJlHYbk{/youtube} It’s hard to believe that Chris Lake has never played The Arches, so you can bet that he is chomping at the bit to perform in his home country’s legendary club. Chris Lake put the small town of Inverurie on the musical map as he turned heads to northern Scotland with the release of tracks such as One Too Many and Release. These tunes pricked up the ears of the world’s press and A&R, but it was with the release of the smash hit ‘Changes’ that catapulted his name into the record boxes of DJs across the planet. Changes became Radio 1's 'Essential New Tune' twice, reaching number 27 in the national charts and picking up column inches in tabloid papers and magazines; turning the once underground buzzer into a worldwide hit. Since the release of the chart hit, the rollercoaster ride hasn’t stopped for Chris. {youtube}zsg4tA23Llw{/youtube} With the majority of Scotland enjoying a bank holiday weekend, there really is no excuse for you to not show your support for Colours. If you like your music upfront, driving and down right fantastic then there’s only one place to be on Saturday 2nd May! You won’t find anything finer this side of the border! {youtube}T9OoPOJrtqM{/youtube} {youtube}W59_OIm--Xw{/youtube} ![]() Related Content: |
