As part of DJSounds “at home” series, they diverge a little and catch-up with CR2 head honcho, Mark Brown, at his H.Q. in Richmond, London.

In part 1 Mark, without drawing breath, recounts the amazing decade he has enjoyed running arguably two of dance music’s most successful labels, Credence Records followed by CR2.

With WMC just around the corner, Mark tells us CR2’s exciting plans for Miami, with a massive party at Wall in the Mondrian Hotel “W” and the next installment of their live and direct compilations, this time mixed by Jose Nunez, Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero and Mark himself. You can be sure that he will have uncovered some nuggets that will go on to enjoy great club success.

Following interview with Mark where he recounted his journey through house music over the last ten years, he now gives us the lowdown on performing live on the decks as part of MYNC with Nick Corelli; the future of DJ-ing and what this means for CR2; mastering; and advice for budding producers who want to be noticed.
