After destroying hundreds of dancefloors around the world, Modeselektor, the Berlin-based duo of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, require very little introduction. On October 29th they kick off a nine-date Body Language tour that coincides with the release of their Body Language mix CD for Get Physical.
Between successful studio albums like Hello Mom! and Happy Birthday!, collaborating with superstars like Thom Yorke, and partnering with Apparat on the chest-thumping Moderat project, it’s pretty amazing that Modeselektor still find time to be among the best, most reliable party-smashing DJs on the planet. Their contribution to Get Physical’s Body Language mix series, much like their DJ sets, is a riotous, bass-heavy affair, which takes in all kinds of interesting developments in cutting edge contemporary dance music.
Taking in Berghain minimalism, Timbaland produced R&B bumps, dubstep, house, Detroit techno and pop, Modeselektor’s Body Language mix takes listeners on a stupendous, genre-hopping journey.
