![]() The sixth annual MUSEXPO international music and entertainment forum will take place from April 25 - April 28, 2010 in West Hollywood, California. Dubbed the “United Nations of Music & Media,” this year’s conference will be the sophomore event staged at the new London West Hollywood hotel, which recently had a $60 million makeover and features the only Gordon Ramsey restaurant in California. By day, MUSEXPO 2010 will feature a who’s who of top executives and industry trendsetters in a series of informative daily panels, forums, keynote speeches and networking opportunities. By night, MUSEXPO 2010 will take over the neighboring Viper Room and The Whisky A Go Go on the famed Sunset Strip to showcase some of the most talented emerging artists from the US and abroad.
This year, MUSEXPO will bestow its “International Music Person of the Year” award to Harvey Goldsmith, Founder, Harvey Goldsmith Presents, the globally respected promoter who has helped raise millions of dollars for essential causes such as Live Aid, Live Earth, The Prince’s Trust, Teenage Cancer Trust and many others. He has also has produced, managed and promoted shows with most of the world’s major artists, and other successful acts including Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Shania Twain, U2, Coldplay, Eric Clapton, Queen, Black Eyed Peas, Elton John, Diana Ross, Pink Floyd, Sting and many others. In 2007, Goldsmith promoted a reunion concert for the surviving members of Led Zeppelin in memory of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegün. The award recognizes the extraordinary contribution Goldsmith has made to humanity with the power of music, as determined by A&R Worldwide, MUSEXPO 2010 and the international music and media community.
