Hosted by MC Feva
It’s that time of year again when all the bass heavy producers and party people descend upon the streets of Notting Hill to throw one hell of a carnival, and Cr2 will of course be there to show everyone how it’s done. Positioned at their new annual spot on Alderson Street Cr2 Records are bringing their usual posse as well as some special guests to showcase their ever growing electronic sound.
First up a man who needs no introduction, the Dutch house master Chuckie, who shot to worldwide fame with his release on Cr2 ‘Let the bass kick in Miami girl’ back in December and since then has been touring internationally to sellout crowds of up to 70 000. His Dirty Dutch brand, which is by far the biggest events and music brand in his native Holland is similarly starting to make waves in the industry, at the last event he hosted N.E.R.D dropped by to say hello, casual. Joining Chuckie on the decks will be none other then the mighty Audio Bully’s who have just returned to fame after their massively successful third studio album ‘Higher than the Eiffel’, which hit record players earlier this year. Since their hit ‘Shot You Down’, the Audio Bully’s have been a force to reckon with on the dance scene and we’re very excited to have them spin some tunes at the Cr2 party. Next up it’s our own boys MYNC who are fresh of the back of remixing the Space Ibiza album, and concentrating on a busy production schedule, which sees their next release ‘Special Brew’; a collaboration with Goodwill, coming out mid August.
Keeping it in the Cr2 family our musical protégée Jacob Plant will be bringing his party vibes straight off the back of his second single ‘Basslines In’, which is coming out mid August. JLD who features on the track will also be there on the day performing a live PA of the single! Our 3rd act on the Cr2: AM roster; Dan Castro will also be making his way down, his recent release ‘High Tide’ reached number 6 in the Beatport chart and his follow up ‘Eastern Ensemble’ has been played by the likes of Riva Starr and Chuckie, expect big things from this producer! Finally we have 2 acts to bring something a little bit bass heavy to the mix, Dubstep producers Bar 9 will be gracing the decks to turn proceedings a bit darker and Pasquale owner and resident of the biggest dubstep night in the midlands- Dub boro will be showing us how they like to party North of the river!
If last year was anything to go by (check the video below), you best get your spot early as we’re expecting packed out streets until the early hours of the evening- carnival vibesssss!
