Solarity are London-based duo Alfie Granger-Howell & Nick Harriman and they’ve been creating more than a few waves of excitement since tracks like ‘DNA’ and Long 41’ first landed at Anjuna towers. ‘Terminal 6’ is their latest showpiece and having earned a slot on Anjunabeats Volume 7 the time has now come for it to take centre stage as a single release. Patiently building from the off, Anjuna intro edit (for all those budding DJs) and the Original Mix lay the charge and explodes into life through its hyper-distorted, TNT-packed bassline; with the power to blow the roof off and the windows out, the searing, gargantuan groove anchors an infectiously melodic top end flowing with bright, warm melodies. Anjunadeep mainstay Jaytech has a tough act to follow on the first remix and morphs the intense soundscapes of the original into something a little more relaxed, smoothing out the grooves, lifting up the melodies and adding in some piano keys for good measure on this refreshingly chilled-out alternative. Russian newcomer Denis Zynchenko (Incognet) then fashions an enjoyably chunky rework with an unmistakable sunkissed Balearic vibe for those who like all things groovy to round off another top-notch package that’s bound to find favour with all who find themselves within earshot.
