http://www.djdownload.comDescriptionDJdownload.com and Skint Records are proud to announce the latest remix competition!Double 99’s ‘Rip Groove’ anthem blazed a trail for the early UK speed garage movement, a collaboration between Tim Deluxe and graphic designer Omar Amidora it was first released on their label Ice Cream Records in 1997 before being signed to Satellite Records and reaching number 14 in the UK national singles chart, spending 6 weeks in the top 40. A record that always defied trends and genres in clubland it continues to receive plays at clubs and festivals to this day. In 2006 ‘Rip Groove’ was remixed by Cirez D (aka Eric Prydz) and released on Skint Records, home to Tim Deluxe as a solo artist. This is your chance to remix a true classic. The competition is not open to employees or agencies of Skint Records, DJ Download, their family members or anyone else connected to the competition. Remix the track into your chosen style. 3. Entry into the competition by buying the remix parts is acceptance of the these Terms and Conditions. 4. Submit your remix through the SoundCloud Dropbox situated below. All entries must include full name, telephone number, email, and your chosen genre of entry as per above. You may enter in as many genres as you wish. 5. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or that cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. 6. Entries submitted on behalf of another person are not allowed. 7. The competition will run from the 30th July 2009 and closes at 23.59 (GMT) 14th September 2009. Users will be able to purchase the remix parts during this time. 8. Winners will be chosen by the A&R staff at Skint Records. The judges decision is final and no correspondance will be entered into. 9. Winners will be notified by email by 5th October 2009. 10. Details of the winners can be obtained by sending a stamped, self addressed envelope to RIP Winners Info, Skint Records, PO Box 174, Brighton, BN1 1AL. 11. Tracks using uncleared samples from sources outside of there distributed parts will be disqualified. An ‘uncleared sample’ is a musical work, loop or sample that you don’t own the copyright for (ie. you didn’t create it). Naughty. 12. In consideration of Skint Records agreeing to consider entrants to the Competition, each entrant hereby assigns to Skint Records a perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your entry worldwide and/or to incorporate your entry in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your entry. 13. Neither Skint Records nor DJ Download accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury or upset caused to or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition or winning the prize.
