"The 2009 Summer season of WONDERLAND @ EDEN came to a storming close on Friday night. I am so proud of what we have achieved in just 2 summers of this bold and daring project. Whilst its still a challenge to get people (from the east side) to visit San Antonio after dark we have enjoyed a record breaking season in a tough economic climate. Time and time again, week in week out our dj's . artists and dancefloor witnessed the intense energy and atmosphere that we are creating together inside this venue.
We broke the Eden house record two weeks in a row with Lady Gaga and the Radio 1 Essential Mix broadcast of Deadmau5 and Luciano and Wonderland was mentioned in press clippings all over the world due to Gaga's performance at the club.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Dj's and artists who played, especially our magnificent residents , Rob Marmot, Alex Bellinger,Jo Mills & Tomas Hedberg (congrats on the pacha award), Fouad and his stunning performers, Micro Chunk for the dazzling visuals , the staff at Eden and my dedicated Wonderland team for making it all happen. It's been a landmark summer and a very enjoyable one.
After a number of encores and false endings last tune was the brilliant deep dish version of Tenaglia's "Music Is The Answer" . In todays world it so often is... thank god!
Plans are already coming together for season 3 in 2010.
Hopefully I'll see you closer to your home before then!
