Exclusive Featured Releases

We're not surprised to finally see David Guetta join the indestructible Toolroom crew, with his debut track, 'Grrr' which is a straight up techy dance floor stomper crammed with elements of trance, progressive and house. 'Grrrr' has a buzzing bass-line and pulsating rhythm which sits perfectly alongside a thunderous kick-drum and cleverly thought out percussion, whilst rising FX sounds weave in and out of the mix.

'Rabid' is the first new track from Dubfire on his own Sci+Tec imprint since the label launched nearly 2 years ago. The follow up to the massive club bangers 'Roadkill' and 'I Feel Speed' is a deep and driving techno beast with a powerful and heavy bassline that will surely rattle the ribcage. A dark and brooding voice speaks throughout the track, but even with its low pitch, you can still make out the words "it's ok" and "don't worry, baby" which may be meant to give the club-goers an ironic sense of safety.

The last eighteen months have moved pretty fast for Alan Fitzpatrick. His rapid ascent from new kid on the techno block to a highly respected and in-demand producer was one of the success stories of 2008. The new track from Alan is a real monster. 'Reflections' is a lush hypnotic progressive anthem in its original form, while the 'reprise' mix brings out the sheer melodic beauty of this outstanding track.

World class remixer, producer and progressive DJ Jerome isma-ae and Defected and Shik Stylko's Sebastian Krieg have a big passion for classic sport cars. Their new single '308' is a tribute to the Ferrari 308 (magnum), and also the debut of their upcoming production series honoured to the best sport cars in the last 50 years. In the break of the track you can hear the unique sound of the 3.0 v8.

Hatiras knows how to make a hit, using everything from the sounds of disco house, techno, breaks and electro house. For his newest EP, the legendary Canadian studio master channels old school Chicago booty house and a 90's rave breakdown with up to date, throbbing electro beats for a fun, party rocker called 'Granny Grams'. File this one under quirky-thugged-out-electro alongside Hatiras classics such as 'Autograph' and 'Get Blahsted'.

Reverend James Brown's vocals are often imitated as well as duplicated. DJ Roland Clark of Urban Soul is on this one and he does a superb rendition. Italian dance master producer and DJ Alex Kenji is on remix duty adding chunky beats and funky synth stabs. Matthias "Matty" Heilbronn's Soulflower Remix brings on the soul with a funk & disco flavored track ala Paradise Garage. This is a strong release from the King Street off shoot.
