Exclusive Featured ReleasesThe Toolroom Knights compilations are always extraordinary releases, jam packed with the biggest tracks and best artists. For the latest installment, the Toolroom records crew has enlisted the legendary DJ / producer known as Funkagenda for compilation duties, and the results are outstanding. There are 38 tracks in total, including two full DJ mixes and many exclusive cuts which are only available from this release. 'Wiwy / Rolling Boxes' is a result of Dusty Kid joining Marascia in the studio for some more high powered floor rocking music that sits perfectly between techno, electro house and whatever genre they feel like taking advantage of. We feel this may be one of his most crossover releases to date, and is perfectly placed on Norman Cook's mighty Southern Fried Records imprint. Huge! Robert Livesu & DJ Eako has been emerging as producers and 'Shine On' is by far their most notable production to date. A pounding kick and dark bass tones drive while Maiya Sykes lets her soul shine in a spectacular R&B vocal performance. A strong hook, quality verses and peak production tally up to another anthem on CR2. From leading house heads like Ingrosso, Guetta, Prydz and Morillo to trance kings like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Marco V., Wippenberg's single 'Chakalaka' received support throughout every genre of the global dance scene. True Wippenberg fans has been waiting quite a while for new material, but with his new single 'Pong' their patience is rewarded. A true and big follow-up packed with an awesome remix by German hero Tocadisco. Another classic in the making?
The legendary techno producer Umek has taken a true classic and worked his magic to create a remix with a very modern twist and bundles of energy. 'Hablando' always was, and always will be, a great peak-time party track, and the Slovenian master producer has kept the essence of the original and given it that new punch and power to suit today's dance floors. A classic remade to perfection. For Filo & Peri's 'Ashley' track, legendary Alex M.O.R.P.H. doesn't hold back, immediately blending his trademark uplifting sound with luscious vocals and ethereal breakdowns. For his remix, First State's captivating piano and violin serenade you - delicately twisting emotions and pulling you into their grasp, only to cast you back into a filthy, driving bass line. Finally Andy Duguid completes the package of this great release! Spotlight Features
Benny Benassi is simply a household name in dance music, a scene overloaded with thousands and thousands of producers and DJs trying to gain any sort of recognition. As a Grammy award winner and producer of that infectious 'Satisfaction' track from years back, he's become a legendary figure in our scene. His latest release, 'Electro Sixteen' is set to boost his status even higher, perhaps all due to a collaboration with the legendary rocker himself, Iggy Pop. Yes. Iggy Pop. You've gotta check this out.
John Dahlback is a hit machine, churning out track after track of huge choons. Appealing to virtually every and all DJs in the circuit, John has successfully found a perfect place with everyone, making cuts that appeal equally to the big room guys and the underground jocks alike. His latest chart is an excellent showcasing of where Dahlback's sound is at the moment. An eclectic selection of big room rockers with plenty of underground sensibilities.
