Phonetic are proud to present new mixes of one of Ibiza’s House Music Anthems…Max Linen’s ‘The Soulshaker’
Written and produced by Leiam Sullivan & Rob Roar with Keithen Carter on Vocals, the track went onto become the biggest record of Ibiza that summer, topping Pete Tong’s Radio 1 ‘Ibiza Buzz Chart’ and hitting the top spot for every DJ on the white isle, heavily championed by pretty much every Tastemaker DJ out there. ‘The Soulshaker’ stamped it’s mark as the Space Terrace & Manumission Anthem with live performances of the track at the closing parties of both clubs. The guys also performed live for MTV (track was ‘A’ Listed) and Channel 4’s Popworld…Something pretty unheard of for an underground record.
The track featured on The Becks Beer advert for the USA for 2 consecutive years.  Max Linen went onto have two more Ibiza No.1’s with ‘Flashback’ (No.1 Pete Tong’s Radio 1 Ibiza Weekend Buzz Chart) & ‘Paradiso Del Mundo’ (No.1 DJ’s Ibiza Mag Hype Chart) 2008 saw them team up with the very talented Luciana & Nick Clow on ‘Neon Lights’ with the track hitting the No.1 spot on the DMC Buzz & No.1 Music Weeks Coolcut Charts.
The original release featured D.Ramirez’s first ever remix along side US Superstar Robbie Rivera. D.Ramirez went onto to achieve global success on a massive scale with five top 20 hits under his belt including his seminal remix of Bodyrox’s ‘Yeah Yeah’ which scored him an Ivor Novello nomination. It seemed only fitting to let Dean unleash his talents on a brand new remix of ‘The Soulshaker’ along with re-mastered versions of the original & Robbie Rivera’s mix.
Leiam Sullivan has been responsible for some great productions over the years, teaming up with Dave Lee on The Program's 'Love & Affection' (Top 20 UK Chart) and James Mowbray releasing on twenty:twenty records. Another of his pseudonyms was the much hailed Mr Pink where Leiam was responsible for many a cutting edge disco fuelled Anthem.
Rob Roar has established himself as one of Ibiza’s favourite DJ’s, rocking dancefloors on the legendary We Love Space (Terrace), Manumission, Miss Moneypennys & Bora Bora Ibiza.
