Jay Lumen was playing in a legendary place, again. London’s Ministry Of Sound is definitely one of the world’s most famous clubs, and popular target of international party tourism. No wonder, as the club’s repute is rightly enhanced by the same named label. Now Jay was invited by this top club, for a two hours’ DJ set.
Jay Lumen is playing continuously in the world’s most famous and significant international clubs as guest DJ. After Dubai’s No1 club, this time he was invited by probably the world’s No1, but definitely the most celebrated club, Ministry Of Sound. This club complex, running with four, occasionally with five halls are presenting only those DJs who have really done their best in the scene. Working without residents, the club aligns the biggest names who are following each other week by week behind the booth. This way audience can always get new experience and sensation on the different events. On Anjunadeep’s night Jay was a guest DJ of this special milieu. Before the party he was invited to attend on a special v.i.p. dinner with beautiful belly dancers, together with Anjuna’s almost 30 member team. Actually, on this event Jay’s newest Anjuna track was announced that is also presented on Dave Seamen’s Renaissance Master Series compilation. „Morning Coctail” is now the label’s success release. (By the way, it’s a curiosity that Anjunadeep’s mostly sold track, „Calypso” is also a Jay Lumen piece, which have reached No1 position) Shortly after this special dinner, party time started. Ministry Of Sound was full around midnight, and long queues of people were standing outside the club. Around 00:30 Jay stepped behind the players and danced the audience until 02:30. What’s more, he presented such outstanding feeling that lots of DJs from other rooms, like 16bit Lolita’s, were joining Jay’s party to enjoy his set. But let’s ask Jay himself about the gig: „I wouldn’t forget for a long time. It was such an extreme experience, and I got a lot of feedbacks from the audience. It was a real interaction, a dialogue between us, I started with my first track, they were responding, I answered with my next track and so on. That’s usual everywhere, but was much more sensible and intensive here. I had several congratulations and what’s quite wondering that many foreign party faces were joining. I also met some Hungarian friends living outside. The whole was like a huge family event where people just flowing continuously. Unbelievable...” So now, Ministry Of Sound is added to Jay’s club trophies, and as we can see, our national pride is really on the right road. ![]() |
