Hot from his incredible Mix Collection, Gui Boratto releases Trills, with some very special remixes…
Trills, one of the lead original productions Gui produced for his recent Mix Collection gets set for a full release on Renaissance with 3 amazing mixes from Paul Woolford.
Kicking things off, the original is Gui in all his technicolour, melodic glory. It’s a full on audio-assault that fuses a chunky, infectious riff and addictive pads to genre-defying effect. Along the way two main breakdowns generate the necessary rise and fall that is unmistakeably Boratto.
Turning to the prolific Woolford, it’s no surprise to see him turning in three incredible remixes. The  ‘Reshape’ sees Paul in peak time mode. Using a speaker shattering bass line as a foundation he teases in the main riff and mirrors the original by using a breakdown to bring all the parts to a hands-in-the-air crescendo, which then abruptly drop back to the bass; a unique moment that will surely have floors clapping in delight.
Finally, the ‘Reduced’ mixes (which Paul features on his forthcoming ‘Platform’ comp’) tip their hat to the sound of Detroit techno, which as their title suggests, take on a very pure, stripped back approach. These are the mixes that will no doubt find a home in the dark club caverns of Berlin or when the sun is high at that secret Ibiza after party that’s probably gone on a wee bit too long… fun times indeed!
