Coming off a triumphant performance at this past weekend’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL which drew 100,000 people, DEADMAU5 made his prime-time debut on The CW’s hit show, Gossip Girl.

The Grammy-nominated, Juno Award-winning electronic artist and performer and recipient of this years International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) for “Best Solo Track,” “Best Solo Artist” and “Best American DJ”  appeared as himself in the teen drama about the scandalous lives of Upper East Side rich kids. DEADMAU5 ) appears in the episode titled “The Empire Strikes Jack” as the electronic music performer for a fashion show that Gossip Girl troublemaker Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is in charge of.

Deadmau5 told MTV: "Yeah, the 'Gossip Girl' thing was kinda cool and all. I didn't have much of a clue at the time about what I was getting myself into, and had a laugh when they sent hair and makeup to my trailer. They looked at me with the [mouse head he wears onstage] and turned straight around. All the people there were really cool. Had a long day, though — about 14 hours of shooting for probably 20 seconds of TV. Glad I don't have to do that every day."
