It works fairly simple: The artist requests certain aspects of the track, such as vocals, counter melodies, riffs or submissions in the key of C at 128 BPM. An early staged track is ready for downloading and you can start working. You can easily do this in any digital recording software. It gives you the chance to actually influence your favorite artists and in the end your input might be part of the final mix. It will be just as much your track as the artists.

Deadmau5 recently teamed up with The Public Record for his final track that will make his forthcoming album. From March 15 until March 21, Deadmau5 is accepting all musical submissions in the key of C at 128 BPM. From March 30th until April 12th he will beings accepting overdub submissions. All parts and overdub submissions will be reviewed by Deadmau5 for final consideration and mix. If you'd be the lucky winner you will be notified on a later given date.
