It's been a busy start to 2009 for Paul Thomas. Gigs at Pacha in Lithuania, Obsession in Romania & Eric Prydz's club residency Grodan in Stockholm kicked the year off nicely, before heading out to Asia for a Toolroom Knights tour. March will see Paul's first extensive tour of North America, before heading back to the UK to warm up for the mighty Carl Cox at Godskitchen in April. Paul has also been chosen to open for Sasha & John Digweed for their first UK back to back set in 6 years at Air in Birmingham at the end of May. Global Gathering season is almost upon us, and Paul will be spinning at the massive festival events in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Turkey and South Korea this summer. Further solo tours in Australia, South America and Asia are planned this summer.

2008 was a hugely successful year in the studio, with massive anthems Arena on Toolroom (with Mark Knight & Funkagenda) and Thrapp in Little Mountain smashing into the Beatport charts. 2009 will see Paul step up the studio work and he has no less than 12 tracks on the way. Massive releases on Size, Koen Groenelved's Abzolut, Alex Kenji's Hot Fingers imprint, Anjuna Deep, Global Underground, Baroque & 2 new releases on Toolroom are all lined up for release in the first half of 2009. There's a brand new Paul Thomas & Funkagenda release forthcoming on Toolroom Records, while further collaborations with Richard Dindsdale & Bodyrox are also on the way. On the remix front, Paul's massive remix of Sander Kleinenberg's 'My Lexicon' is expected to be one of Miami's biggest anthems, while further mixes for Chicane, Alex Gold, Veerus & Maxie Devine and Schiller are also due out this Spring. The huge Paul Thomas & Funkagenda remix of Josh Wink's 'Higher State' is finally coming out on the legendary Strictly Rhythm label in April.

Paul hit the front cover of February's edition of clubbing bible Mixmag. The picture was taken at last summers Global Gathering Belarus event. The industries other big music magazines are also following Paul's rise to stardom, with features in M8 & IDJ, plus a host of international magazines including DJ Ukraine & Poland.

The past 2 months have also seen Paul record guest mixes for a host of radio shows, including Judge Jules's International Radio 1 show, Kiss FM, Galaxy FM and Mark Knight's Toolroom Knights Radio.
BBC Radio 1 has been supporting Paul's tracks heavily too, with Pete Tong, Dave Spoon, Judge Jules and Funkagenda all giving his music airplay this year.
