High Contrast Recordings goes 50!
18 January 2008

Within it’s 3 years existence, High Contrast Recordings is celebrating it’s 50th release this month. The 50th release is Ernesto vs. Bastian’s new single ‘Thrill’, which is also the anthem for the 2008 edition of the world’s largest trance event: Trance Energy.

With going 50, High Contrast Recordings also launches a new sister label: High Contrast Nu Breed.

50!

To celebrate the 50th release, ‘Thrill’ will have a special celebration release. The vinyl version will be released on gold vinyl. Besides the original mixes from the boys Ernesto vs. Bastian there are also remixes to follow from John O ‘Callaghan and Cliff Coenraad & Thomas Hagenbeek. John O’ Callaghan delivered one of the biggest trance records of 2007 with his single ‘Big Sky’ and drops a tech-trance flavoured remix. In advance to their debut release on Marco V’s In charge label, Cliff Coenraad & Thomas Hagenbeek also provide a remix with some fine progressive beats.

‘Thrill’ is set for release on January 25th.

A High Contrast history

Started in 2005, the first release on High Contrast Recordings was ‘Dark Side of The Moon’ by Ernesto vs. Bastian. A brilliant start to say the least, as the single became an international hit record and was even chosen by Jude Jules as ‘anthem of 2005’.

It’s not always easy to have a hit record to start with, but High Contrast Recordings showed not to be a one-day fly. It has established itself as one of the leading labels with other ‘classic’ releases such as: ‘Advanced’ by Marcel Woods, ‘Top Gear’ by Rank 1, ‘What You Need’ by Nic Chagall and ‘Life Less Ordinary’ from Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Rank 1 to name but a few.

High Contrast Nu Breed

High Contrast Nu Breed is a new label, but with the same philosophy and strategy as High Contrast recordings; releasing quality music. High Contrast Nu Breed will feature nu upcoming artists, but can also be a home for artists with international fame. Basically there are no differences between the labels music wise, as it’s all under the High Contrast flag and philosophy.

First release is from Finland with talented producer Anton Sonin teaming up with AMX and vocalist Sari entitled ‘Undone’. To celebrate the first release, the legendary Rank 1 returns on top form with their first remix after a while. And a fine remix it is, to say the least!  The single has already support from: Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Rank 1, Nic Chagall and others.

Street date is set for February 5th
