German-born, US-based nu-trance master Markus Schulz talks to DJsounds’ Lorna Cole from outside the Ocean Drive Hotel, in Ibiza. (And, yes, apparently that it is house legend Frankie Knuckles in the background!) Meanwhile, footage of mighty Markus in the mix comes from a club-thumping Armada night at Amnesia.

In this interview, the Coldharbour Recordings boss and Armada regular shares some relaxed words about playing the Ibizan superclub, his connection with his audiences, and sculpting his sound and epic DJ sets.

Hot from his 2009 World Tour, and having recently released the ‘Do You Dream’ and ‘The New World’ singles, Markus is currently working on a new album. What’s more, following on from their Ibiza collaboration, this December will also see Markus go head-to-head with Armin van Buuren during the Best of Both Worlds show, held at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.
