The next in Nowtrax series of interviews with the DJ talent appearing for Nowtrax in Miami on March 25th continues with the fast-rising Richard Dinsdale…

What are you looking forward to about being in Miami this year?

I’m really looking forward to getting back there this year. It’s been 4 years since I last went and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone, DJs and promoters that you might not get to catch up with ever otherwise and only talk to on Facebook/Myspace etc. It also going to be great for me this year as I’m promoting my new disco tech sound and the start of my new label Tanzanite Records. I’ve also joined XXL Management with Kevin Harris and we have big plans a head this year so being out in Miami is going to be a great start to the year.

What are you looking forward to about playing our party at the Clevelander?

Everything! The people, the guys who are putting this event together. It’s just going to be a great night. I’m also looking forward to testing my new tracks forthcoming on Toolroom, 303 Lovers and my Tanzanite label.

What do you think of the whole WMC/Ultra debacle this year? How do you think it will effect the future of Miami in March?

I don’t think it will effect Miami at all. My brother (Tanzanite Records Manager) just got back on the flight that went out at the beginning of the month and he said it was packed and I know the end of the month will be busy as its spring break. Many of the DJs and promoters who went out early for the WMC are also going to be there for the Ultra Week. I’ve got a feeling though next year it will be back to how it was.

What track are you going to be caning out there?

My new track that has been at the No.1 slot for 4 weeks now and that’s Richard Dinsdale ‘DJ,, You’ve Got My Love’ on Toolroom Records. I’ve been getting great feedback on this track from many DJs and very pleased with the outcome.

Tell us a Miami secret…

When I was in Miami last time we met a group of Air Hostesses and got invited back to a private party. The night consisted of drinking lots of alcohol and naked twister. At the end of the night I was very drunk and ended up stealing one of the girls uniforms and wearing it down to the hotel lobby where lots guests were checking in and saw me fooling around!
