HouseEssentials blog speaks with Max Vangeli & AN21 about their new, much anticipated track "Swedish Beauty". This track has been getting continued support from some of the biggest DJs including the Swedish House Mafia. Stay tuned for the release within the next couple of weeks!

House Essentials Blog: So first off, "Swedish Beauty" is an incredible track, so melodic and beautiful, what inspired you guys to produce such an amazing track?

AN21: After all the love I felt from the dance floor at Pacha Ibiza last year, I thought we needed something emotional, I've been lacking something to end my sets with for quite a while. So that pretty much inspired me to do Swedish Beauty.
Max Vangeli: I think it was just something that we wanted to do initially. Show our fans that we can swing both ways in terms of sound. We wanted to do a pure progressive big room record...and this is what we got.

House Essentials Blog: How long did it take you two to produce the track?

Max Vangeli: Well its never done until its released so we are always making it sound fatter.
AN21: I don't know really. We've been working on it from time to time for months actually! When we've felt really emotional we've said "lets do this now" then we stopped working on it for a week and the story goes on! Soon it's finished!

House Essentials Blog: What software and studio equipment was involved in the production?

Max Vangeli: Ableton Live and Logic. Some moog on the riffs, and a bunch of stuff on the strings.
AN21: I used my beloved Macbook Pro with Logic 9 on it. I didn't have access to hardwares back then. But now I do!

House Essentials Blog: How did you come up with such a great name for the track?

AN21: I like to think that the track is so beautiful and it named itself!
Max Vangeli: Haha I'll leave that one for you to figure out.

House Essentials Blog: As opposed to "Gama" and your remix of Ellie Goulding's "Starry Eyed", would you say that "Swedish Beauty", with its big arpeggios and progressive harmonies, has a some-what trancy feel to it?

AN21: I guess it does!
Max Vangeli: Yep very much. We will bring it back maybe! But yeah totally trancy progressive, but not that oldschool cheese trance.

House Essentials Blog: How did it feel when you first heard Steve Angello drop "Swedish Beauty" for the first time in one of his sets?

Max Vangeli: Well its always nice when you have big guys like Steve support our work, it shows us that we are doing something right.
AN21: I'm very lucky that I've had Steve to try all my tracks from the beginning, so he can give us feedback from a good crowd from the very start! Everybody ain't that lucky!

House Essentials Blog: You have had tons of support from Refune, SIZE, Steve Angello, and the rest of the Swedish House Mafia, what has the response been like from other big-name DJs/producers?

Max Vangeli: The support has been really amazing.
AN21: It's been great so far! But you only hear the good things from the people who actually likes it and the people who don't like it don't reply with feedback! So I don't know.

House Essentials Blog: What is the one club that you would most want "Swedish Beauty" to get dropped?

AN21: Pacha, Ibiza closing/opening party! As the closing track when Steve goes "my name is Steve Angello and this is... and thank you all!"
Max Vangeli: I want it heard in every club so people can feel the emotion and love we put into it.

House Essentials Blog: This track is being released on Refune Records, how was it working with Sebastian Ingrosso and his team at Refune?

Max Vangeli: Feels like a second home after SIZE. All about the family here.
AN21: It's been great!

House Essentials Blog: Lastly, there has been a lot of buzz about the two of you lately. Is there anything that you would like to say to all of your devoted fans out there?

AN21: Lately I've really felt that people appreciate my work, either on Facebook, Twitter or at the gigs.. That feeling just pushes me to do more work! Without it it wouldn't be worth it. Sounds like a cliché but it ain't!
