In his interview to Australian Inthemix DJ/producer Kaskade told: “It feels as though house music and electronic music has become hip-hop’s mistress in a way. I really don’t like that aspect of what’s happening right now. It seems like the hip-hop guys will kind of link up with anyone that seems remotely popular and the dance producers are just so eager for a bit of success on the other side of that ‘fame wall’ that they’ll jump at it. I think five years ago everybody would’ve been laughing at the thought of this, but now it’s acceptable because it’s become so commercial.” “America likes to do things bigger and better than anyone else,” he continues. “So now that dance music is going commercial they’re taking it all the way to the extreme. I just heard that new Britney Spears single and I’m like ‘did Skrillex produce this or something?’, it’s just crazy what’s going on.” Also watch the video below where he describes music results of 2010:
