Dirty Vegas' Paul Harris and Steve Mac have had their share of Big Tunes in the grand tradition and let rip with another stormer on the happening Hysterical label. 'Bonafide', featuring cool vocals from Sam Obernik, was produced by Paul for his recent Ego Sound System compilation but now stands alone and pretty proud with a barrage of diverse mixes, starting with his own insidious, dub-tinged workout wrapping the vocal in Balearic-style backdrop. Steve Mac's version injects tech house flavour with hypnotic consequences while Australia's Magik Johnson lets rip with a percussive throbbed, dismembering the voice into masturbating robot territory. The one which will induce mass rafter-swinging comes from Soulshaker, who completely rewrites the song as a piano-pumping belter, boosting the vocal's anthem potential and even throwing in the proverbial limbs-aloft drop. The sort of thing that slaughters Miami and any other large gathering bent on whoopee.
