The two duos did more than anything to redefine the German techno and house scene in the noughties, with a slew of releases on the Get Physical label, which they run with DJ T. The original Seas of Grease – which featured on Zombie Nation’s 2009 album Zombielicious – could be comfortably filed in the folder marked ‘monster tunes’. Here California-based producer Harvard Bass gives it a real workover, following up previous remixes for Beni and Orgasmic/Teki Latex with aplomb. Released on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings, this track is the latest in a long and esteemed line of big room bangers from the Canadian imprint.

Dutch producer Joris Voorn waves his techno wand with a solid reworking of Solomun’s After Dust Comes The Rain, lifted from his 2009 album Dance Baby. The vaunted producer and Rejected label boss adds his trademark clicks and clacks to turn the sombre original into a thumping, energetic club hit.
