Calvin Harris launches Fly Eye Record label

CALVIN HARRIS ANNOUNCES US TOUR DATES  THIS FEBRUARY AND MARCH
Calvin Harris-Brit Award nominee for Best Solo Male, writer and producer of several #1 hit singles, live crowd-pleaser and of course the man who Created Disco-is about to embark on a major-or, to put it properly, MASSIV-tour of the U.S and Canada, in support of his chart-topping new single "You Used To Hold Me"-available February 8th backed with monster-anthem remixes, taken from his #1-Bestselling Album  "Ready For The Weekend" out on Ultra Records.
"You Used to Hold Me"  follows in the footsteps of his previous chart topping & dancefloor smashing singles ‘I’m Not Alone’, ‘R.F.T.W’ & ‘Flashback’ and is backed by a series of huge club mixes courtesy of Laidback Luke & Nero, and an explosive video packed full of monster truck action.
2009 was a break out year for Calvin that saw him sell in excess of 1 million singles & 150,000 albums in the UK,  write & produce several #1 hit singles for both himself & others, sell out his entire tour ( with over 50,000 + tickets sold in advance), crowd winning performances across all of the UK’s major summer festivals,  Calvin also completed several high profile DJ tours and residencies across the globe and saw him truly step out of the shadows into becoming one of the UK's most unique and engaging pop stars on every level.
This February and March he's bringing his triumphant chart-topping bangers to a dance floor near you.
A connoisseur of the true art of dance music, Calvin Harris looks set to lead the genre well into the next decade.
Several of Calvin's forthcoming U.S. dates, and both of his dates in Vancouver as a part of the Winter Olympics after-parties, are with hotly-tipped artist /DJ /Producer Burns.

"This Scottish Producer/Singer/Kylie Minogue collaborator wraps shiny but not stupid pop packaging around actual, well written songs.   Ditching the dirty electro of 2007's "I Created Disco" Harris embraces immaculate stadium house, merging a Beatle-ish verse (complete with a McCartney bassline),bridging the Brit-pop, club kid divide." Spin Magazine
"The I’m Not Alone hit maker unleashed his first attack on the crowd as his Scottish charm worked its magic on the hoards of adoring CH fans, he told his audience: "I know it’s a Monday night, but I wanna see you get on it!"... And get on it they did...Particular stand out tracks were classic Calvin club tunes like Acceptable In The 80’s, Girls and new track Ready For The Weekend which well and truly left us begging for it to be Friday night! "-MTV UK
"Ready for the Weekend is big bold and colourful 21st century electro dance pop executed with considerable panache. Songs start out simple and organic, introducing lyrical and melodic motifs that wouldn't sound out of place on a Coldplay anthem, before opening up with some big synths into pumping disco and house tracks. The pop genius is in the way these develop and mutate rather than settling into obvious dumb grooves. " - Daily Telegraph
