Speaking with inthemix ahead of his March tour, notorious cranky pants Sebastien Leger revealed he’s not all that taken with the “stupid, ugly” electro sound coming out of his home country.

Despite conceding Ed Banger and co. are healthy for the French scene, the DJ isn’t going to be hurrying to buy the new SebastiAn 12”.

“I hope it’s going to die really soon, this movement,” he sighed. “This nightmare. It’s like a disease spreading all over the world. I’m really dying from this music style – it’s terrible. I really hope for a comeback of something else, whatever, other than these stupid, ugly basslines and loud noise. Some crowds expect only this shit, so when I try to play something melodic, or minimal or techy, they so, ‘Nooo! This is not the bassline we expected!’”
