If you go on the forums like global underground or fabric or wherever you will here it is because we are "void of inspiration" or because we are "too thick to come up with ideas of our own"
Well lets just stop for a minute. Some of the best tunes ever are rip offs. Xpander is based on a riff that Charlie May decided not to put in little bullet, Joey Negro's Spank is exactly that... Even Fatboy Slims Star 69 is ripped from a track that is ripped from a track that is rippped from a track etc etc...
As far as I was always concerned dace music was about just that... Making people dance.
Yeah there is money there eventually but FUCK IT. I don't care about that. I want to see my mates face as he tells me that the booty of french kiss I made and dropped kicked off last night! THAT is what I want to see...
So...
Lets all not fuck about. We all rip stuff off every now and then. Generally the only people who bitch about it are the people who didn't think of it first... "
