Budapest's first legal subway party took place on Deák tér on May 17. "Coke Zero Metro-party" featuring the Czech DJ Lucca and BBC Radio 1's resident Pete Tong. Pete Tong: "Budapest & Stockholm rock.... Well Im happy to report that my last few gigs went alot better than that pitch in Moscow....even as a gooner I have to say I felt sorry for JT. On Saturday night I arrived in Budapest, Hungry to do a very unusual party in the main underground station. It was organised ingeniously by Coke Zero and called Metro. Check out the schedule. The last train ran at 11.14pm . Then about 75 rather strong blokes carried in a huge production (lights , sound, dj rig etc...), set up and were open by 12!!! It was like one of those reality TV shows , I have no idea how they pulled it off as this station was seriously deep! I did the show with the talented DJ Lucca from the Czech Republic and we had about 2000 people going nuts. At the end, 4am - they had just 30 minutes to pack up and get out of there before the first train.... someone should have made a movie about it!! On Wednesday I went to play in Stockholm for the first time for the Scandanvian Music Conference - why I have never played a proper gig their before baffles me as much as them! The party took place in a beautiful ornate ballroom and I was joined on stage by all the boys , Angello , Ingrosso and Axwell. A mad night after the Champions League drama. Stockholm I have to come back soon.... Onto this weekend and Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem on Sat followed by ME hosting the Radio 1 Breakfast show on Bank Holiday Monday!! http://www.cokezero.hu/{youtube}MfE_tGXEQUs{/youtube} {youtube}pWXj3zlVpRA{/youtube}
