DOWNLOAD: Alliance EP HEREYves Larock is proud to announce the birth of his brand new imprint Millia Records. Weighing in at a healthy four-to-the-floor and already dancing before it can walk, Millia Records will be both a channel for Yves’ clubbier side as Yves C and a platform for supporting up and coming talent with the helping A&R hand of co-parent Davide Mereu. Showing signs of a rebellious nature from the start, Millia Records’ first release will be Larock’s own Alliance EP, which features the titular track Alliance, a new remix of The Fame, and Too Blind. Pounding electronic house with a nagging saw waved sound, Alliance’s bass entrance says it all. With a continuous “blip” all the way through the mix, the track is a difficult one to disconnect from. Tony Sylla’s remix of The Game is a tough peak time big room monster rammed with contrast. From a beginning that builds with a palpable rage from a hypnotic synth line before landing on a soft Hammond organ looped to perfection before descending back again, this is not one for the faint hearted. Completing the trio is Too Blind, a melancholic, cinematic track with cold Blade Runner-esque synths. Yves’ lyrics are delivered in a pure Hot Chip style over a chirpy bassline and scarce percussion save for the most delicate of hip shaking hi-end rhythm. The full length versions of Yves C “Alliance EP” are out now on Millia Records through Beatport and all other major download music stores. ![]() |
