In the past couple of months some of the most promising young DJs competed for this year's Tresor.award 2009. Every Wednesday night before and international audience and top-class jury, the contestants showed their skills as evidence in the hope of qualifying for the "Tresor.award Finals" on 20 and 27 November, 2009 in the most famous techno club in the world, Tresor.

From over 260 contestants, 18 selected participated through Soundcloud or Myspace in high-energy nights in Tresor Club. Experienced jury members such as Redshape, Mike Dehnert, Alan Oldham, Suzi Wong and Dr. Motte all had the tough task of selecting in catagories talent, technique, presence and feeling.

After a total of 4 months of contest time the winners were finally chosen: Bebetta from Trier convinced the audience and jury already on the first finals-evening with a punchy set, a proper portion of groove and an individual character; and the Holland-residing Kathy who pulled from her case records expressing deep house, tech-house and techno, and caused dancing havoc with her variety of sounds.
Both winners can expect an exciting year full with changes: new, complete music equipment from sponsors Numark, Akai, Ableton and Ortofon, plus many other club gigs.
And both DJanes will face their first gig on 19 December supporting for Dave Clarke in Tresor, and also will help start the New Year's party right in Tresor Club together with artists like Blake Baxter, Dirt Crew, Alexander Kowalski and Housemeister.
