http://www.sensation.com On 14 March 2009, 17,000 visitors will spend a night at Belgium’s first Sensation party at their brand new venue, the Ethias Arena in Hasselt. Sensation is delighted to announce that the world-class DJs providing the musical backdrop to this monumentous occasion will be:
TOM LECLERQ & BARRY FORETom Leclercq and Barry Fore have been playing back to back every Saturday at Versuz, Hasselt’s top club, for the past five years. They have also taken their sexy, cool, groovy and no nonsense style to global events such as Tomorrowland, and exclusive gigs. With positive vibes flowing in every direction, and following the motto of Versuz making their music the ‘hidden language of the soul’, Tom Leclercq and Barry Fore will make this Hasselt party one to remember. DR. LEKTROLUVIt has always been Dr. Lektroluv’s intention to get everyone partying together; “as a DJ it’s not just about standing there, doing your thing and not caring what the audience might think – it’s all about interaction.” With his dedication to making every record count and his set exhilarating from start to finish, Dr. Lektroluv is sure to make a great party in front of his home crowd. www.drlektroluv.beMARTIN SOLVEIGMartin Solveig has long had famous French and International DJ status, and with each new release he asserts his position more. His eclectic musical tastes often see the likes of Prince, Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain being thrown into his mixes, and always make for a goods party. At age 21, Solveig started his own label, Mixture, the first release on which sold 10,000 copies, and prompted Bob Sinclair to ask him to take part in the Africanism project, and he started to tour Europe. Martin is about to follow ‘Rocking Music’ and ‘Hedonist’, with his third album ‘C’est La Vie’, and with a recent gold album under his belt, he’s going to rock Hasselt’s first Sensation. www.martinsolveig.comMEGAMIXThe Megamix is traditionally one of the highlights of Sensation. It is a special moment during the night when not the DJs but the music itself is the star of the show. Compiled by one of the musical masterminds of ID&T, it's a musical trip through history that features a range of old and new classics, that always makes the crowd go wild. A celebration of 20 years of house music that is brought to life through a spectacular show and fireworks display. ERIC PRYDZEric Prydz is one of the hottest producers of the moment thanks to his recent chart successes – ‘Call on Me’ and ‘Proper Education’ propelling him to firmly into the dance and underground music stratosphere. Prydz is on a roll at the moment, his labels Mouseville, Pryda and Pryda friends positively brimming with underground hits, and his autumn release ‘Pjanoo’ becoming a number 1 hit across the globe and being widely considered to be the biggest dance hit of 2008. Early 2009 see’s him touring Australia and New Zealand before coming to work his special magic and get the crowds partying in Belgium. www.ericprydz.comARMIN VAN BUURENAged just 31, Armin van Buuren has been named number one in the prestigious DJ Top 100 poll – voted for by over 350,000 people across the world, and an indication of his prolific output over the 10 years he’s been DJing and producing. Being the official World’s Best DJ is just one of his many achievements, but the driving force behind his success is an overriding passion for dance music. Armin is a dedicated trance lover but isn’t imprisoned by one genre, saying “What makes trance work so well is that it doesn’t stick to one style, and can incorporate electro, minimal, whatever it likes.” Armin regularly headlines the likes of Global Gathering, Dance Valley, Mysteryland, Coachella, Beats In Brazil, Trance Energy, Summer Days – and now at Sensation in Belgium! www.arminvanbuuren.comTOCADISCOTocadisco will be making his way from Cologne to play at Sensation Belgium, from where he started his prosperous music career at a young age and chose to turn his passion into his profession. Learning by doing is certainly this man’s motto, and within an extremely short period of time the studio wizard taught himself how to record and produce tracks, including his highly acclaimed album ‘Solo’, which featured hits such as Better Begin, Street Girls and Morumbi. But it is the interaction with the audience and the buzz of playing live that really gets Tocadisco excited, and he plans to bring this contagious enthusiasm to Belgium. www.myspace.com/djtocadisco |
