If the news this year of Sensation’s debut in Melbourne wasn’t exciting enough, trance fans around the country collectively wet themselves when it was exclusively revealed on ITM last month that promoter ID&T’s renowned Trance Energy event would be venturing outside of Holland for the very first time in Easter 2009, with dates across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. ITM can now reveal date and venue details for the Sydney leg of the Trance Energy tour!

Trance Energy will be touching down in Sydney for the very first time on Thursday 9th April, and it’ll be taking place at the Hordern Pavilion and surrounds with an all-night party. And it’s the event that trance fans from around the globe dream about at night – featuring performances from some of the genre’s biggest names, the lineup represents just one part of the overall package as promoters ID&T are famous for employing some of the most cutting-edge production, lasers and special effects seen anywhere in the world. We’ve got little doubt Trance Energy will be one of the most spectacular events on the dance music calendar in 2009

Barely did we even get the chance to recover from all our NY shenanigans, before being called to cast our mind forward to Easter for what will no doubt be one of 2009’s most anticipated tours. For any of the 40,000 punters who rocked it at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne for Sensation on NYE, but would have liked a little (or a lot) more ‘trance’ on the lineup, their dreams are set to come true this Easter. Trance Energy comes direct from legendary Dutch production ID&T, the same crew responsible for Sensation, and with Trance Energy’s debut lineup in Australia they’ll be packing a lineup that well exceed everybody’s expectations.

Sensation resident Marco V will be returning for the tour in April, along with an appearance from big-room veteran Judge Jules and electronic pioneer BT; but he’ll also be joined by an unbeatable posse of ‘nu-trance’ heroes that includes Simon Patterson, Sean Tyas, Richard Durand and many more. That’s only the beginning though, because ID&T are of course famous for employing some of the most cutting-edge production, lasers and special effects seen anywhere in the world; and anyone who was at Sensation on NYE would have seen them in full effect. Start building up those biceps, because come April you’ll be reaching for the lasers…
