This 3 disc CD encapsulates perfectly the famous Mambo experience, which has attracted people from around the world year after year since 1994. Of the many hundreds of thousands that flock to the magical white isle, a visit to Mambo to experience one of the legendary sunsets has become an essential part of the Ibizan experience.
Mixed by resident Alex Wolfenden the chilled atmosphere of the first disc aptly incorporates some fantastic tunes you'd expect to hear whilst watching one of those blissful sunsets, whilst disc two lifts things up a notch creating the perfect party mood, ready for you to take it to the club! Disc 3 completes the package with 10 full length unmixed tracks selected from across Disc 1 & 2 for the purists & DJ’s.
This year Café Mambo will celebrate its 16th year in Ibiza. It will be monumental, with plans to bottle the Cafe Mambo spirit and go global. Festivals and world tours are in the pipeline, friendships continue to grow, and the energy is stronger than ever.
The honour of mixing this year’s CD has been handed to Mambo resident Alex Wolfenden, Alex has been DJ’ing in Ibiza since 1997, playing in Pacha, Amnesia and Space before landing his dream DJ job Café Mambo. This year is his fifth year as resident at Mambo, so he was the perfect person to capture the Mambo vibe and transfer into CD format! Alex has used his many years of DJi’ng alongside the world’s best DJs to help define his sound. Rather than lose himself in certain styles or genres of music, Alex moves freely across all spectrums, focusing on the vibe of the crowd and the space he is playing.  This two disc set includes an emotional and musically versatile daytime mix and a sunset mix that reveals organic rhythms, future disco and electronic grooves; these Balearic vibes transition you from daytime to sunset and into night, giving you the perfect insight to yet another magical day in Mamboland…
