Having a #1 Breakout on the Billboard dance chart as well as one of the Top 10 selling dance tracks at iTunes with their debut single “One (Your Name)” featuring Pharrell, superstar DJ collective Swedish House Mafia have teamed up with Tinie Tempah to produce their next massive hit “MIAMI 2 IBIZA” to be released on October 19th through Astralwerks Records.
An all-star celebration of a summer of dancefloor excess, “MIAMI 2 IBIZA” transcends both artists’ sounds to create this huge crossover anthem. Tinie’s #1 debut single “Pass Out” is the biggest-selling UK single this year by any British artist, while its follow up “Frisky” has also been a big UK chart hit.   The collaboration follows Tinie Tempah’s memorable performance at the Swedish House Mafia’s infamous Masquerade Motel night at Pacha in Ibiza. Aside from this 16 week residency in Ibiza, you can catch Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell perform at the Electric Zoo Festival in NYC on September 4th.
The Swedish House Mafia has already developed an enviable reputation for their exhilarating live show & event concepts.  They hit the mainstage of Miami’s Ultra Music Festival in March to an audience of 60,000 people and recently returned  to London’s Brixton Academy for two sold out dates underlining their escalating status as one of 2010’s most vital and exciting artists.
Last month, both SPIN and URB called their Electric Daisy Carnival set one of the best of the fest: “This threesome...owned the main stage on Friday...More than a few called theirs the set of the weekend.” -URB. “One of the Ten Best Moment’s of the Electric Daisy Festival.” – SPIN.   This ultimately led to the band gracing the covers of covers of many US and UK magazines including: DJ Times, Future Music & Mixmag.  Exclusive US Fall tour dates will be announced shortly.
The Swedish House Mafia consists of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Agnello. Three people, three producers and three pairs of eyes and ears perfectly aligned together, each with their own acclaimed independent record labels.
Axwell’s Axtone is known for hits including “I Found You” and “Watch The Sunrise” as well as remixes for Madonna, Pharrell, Roger Sanchez and The Temper Trap.  Steve Angello’s scored a global hit with “Show Me Love” (with Laidback Luke), has collaborated with N*E*R*D & Kid Sister as well as releasing his own artist album The Yearbook on his label Size Records.  Sebastian Ingrosso produced “Cupid Boy” for Kylie’s new Aphrodite album plus his notorious bootleg mix of MGMT’s “Kids” was an underground hit. He also recently delivered the club hit “Silvia” for Miike Snow (with Dirty South) on his label Refune.
“MIAMI 2 IBIZA” will feature on the highly-anticipated album Until One (release date October 26th) which compiles highlights of each Mafia member’s solo work to date. The album is the soundtrack to the Until One DVD (to be released later this year) which documents the highlights of the Swedes worldwide touring. Until One DVD was directed by Christian Larson whose work with Jonas Åkerlund on high profile acts includes Lady Gaga & Jennifer Lopez.
