30Beats teamed up with up and coming DJ Krysko to try out the sounds and make our own 30beats track. Krysko has used the sound of the boot closing as the main base line for his funky house inspired mix-up along with the hydraulic whoosh of it opening back up again.  See what you think for yourself here.

The Rules

You can do anything you like with the sounds even refining them to make them sound totally different but remember we are looking for mechanical music so you probably wont win if your track does not even sound like a car anymore!

You can mash up Krysko’s track but what you produce must be your own work and different enough to stand alone as its own piece of music.

You can add in different samples or sounds but remember you must have the right to use them. You don’t have to have experience to have a go.

Shooting your own video is not essential to the competition but we think visuals bring a track alive so why not have a go at creating something – it does not have to be a pop video like ours, it can be anything you like as long as you have the rights to use it. You can use our video too if you don’t want to make your own.

We want as many people to hear your track and see your video as possible so they have got to adhere to some basic guidelines – click here to see them in full
