Horizon Wireless just dropped a bombshell of a release. Clocking in at just over a half an hour, "Can You Hear Me Now Mixtape Vol. 1" is the drummer/dj duo's second release since their "Grassroots California Mixtape" which landed them a sponsorship with the super-brand as well as widespread recognition. Seven months have passed since that release, and the growth shows. The very first kick drum hit on this mix will already have you flying through space on a craft equipped with psychedelic breaks and well crafted electro-pop sensibility. With homages to everyone from Dr. Dre, Jamiroquai, Justin Timberlake, and Bone Thugs N' Harmony, all the way to Peaches, Chromeo, The Gorillaz, and Dizzee Rascal, this mix is infectious to say the least, and throws just the right amount of mainstream flare onto a backdrop of deep underground grooves.
