Fascination Reworked” -My Favorite Robot (Remixes by Omid16B,
Elevator People, James Teej ).

Mile End Records brings you its latest release; “Fascination
Reworked” by hot production and dj team My Favorite Robot. The
hardworking duo composed of Jared Simms and Voytek Korab exploded onto
the scene in 2006. The My Favorite Robot experience has been one of
top-notch quality, bold caliber and crafty cuts, with tracks that
raise eyebrows and shatter the protocol.

Revisiting The Cure’s infamous “Fascination Street” and turning
it into an instant electro classic, the song’s ever-familiar lyrics
once rendered popular by Robert Smith’s gasping, breathy,
quasi-mournful voice have been reinterpreted by My Favorite Robot’s
very own Voytek Korab, delivering a more soothing contemplation albeit
Voytek’s intense, haunting vocal demeanor. Quirky sounds and catchy
sonic experiments are of no short supply either. Converting their
reprise into a multi-flavored endeavor (a solid remix package of four
different versions), MFR’s offering will certainly please fans as
well as DJs, music collectors and audiophiles alike.

Omid Nourizadeh, better known as Omid16b, is at the helm of the first
remixing job. Bearing the same name as his infamous label, Omid16b’s
“Electro SexOnWax" remix is a foot stomping skin tingler. This
electrifying groove is laced with atmospheric synth pads, layer upon
layer of flawlessly incorporated sounds, bass and breakbeat.
Hailing from New York, Elevator People, combining Anton Kram, Felix
Feygin and Alex Kofman’s collaborative effort, are no strangers to
the electronic music scene with their long list of achievements and
productions. Their “Elevator Mix” is a laidback, minimal groove
that kicks off with smooth percussive elements, deep tech stabs and
ghoulish pads, slowly morphing into an unforgettably pleasant sonic
odyssey.

Hot Toronto producer James Teej delivers the final remixes. “Rumble
One” is a carefully calibrated orchestration replete with pleasant
tom-toms, addictive hi-hats, distinctive keys, a steady tempo and a
fuzzy backdrop.

Finally is Teej’s dub rendition of his main mix, without the vocal,
for those who favor an instrumental version, still jam-packed with the
same crisp sonics, pleasant sound effects and warm analog flavor.
