LLR010 presents a three track original EP from producer Sonic that sees a step up in tempo and genre from the previous release on Lil Life Records. The first track titled ‘Anxious’ incorporates an infectious pluck and a solid bottom end that develops into a track with monumental bottom end enhanced by the occasional appearance of an additional melody line that takes the track up a gear in both energy and presence.
Anxious has big room appeal and undoubtedly the potential to develop energy within any set.
The second track titled ‘Pentprism’ is very much a bouncy tech house track that relies on a looping melody that evolves and works in perfect harmony with the solid groove and percussion of the track. The occasional drawn out reverbs embedded in the melody line make this a track that progresses and develops in all the right places and therefore lends itself to a perfect mix. ‘Faquir’ is the deeper, more minimal influenced track of the three. The square stabs and staggered percussion coupled with the bouncy sub bass, make this track a fantastic addition to any house or techno set. If you want to drop your set into a deeper state, this is the track to set your plans in motion.
Overall Sonic has delivered a consistent and beautifully crafted EP that has been developed with serious thought to the club and the avid dance fiend
