Today is a good day for tunes – pure and simple! Anthony DiMaggio was exposed to music at an early age thanks to his mother, a professional jazz singer, in Los Angeles.  His love for music led him to the electronic music scene.  Intrigued by the great local talent and a new way to express himself, Djing became the next logical step. I’ve had the opportunity to play a couple parties with Anthony, you will really enjoy his selection…

Anthony DiMaggio's Track List:

01) Mother B – Kevin Yost (Original Mix)
02) Sunday – Jaidene Veda, Osaze (Jimpster Remix)
03) Word & Sounds – Sebastien Davidson (Raygun & Ivan I Remix)
04) Shakedown – Audiojack (Original Mix)
05) 99 – Cassius (Tim Green Remix)
06) Chip Chip – Alex Niggemann
07) Aviator – M.V.I.P (Ian Pooley Dub Mix)
08) Primetime – Chriss Ronson & Yvel and Tristan (Original Mix)
09) Cream – Dirty Mongrel (Wiretappeur Remix)
10) Go That Deep – Nufrequency (Skylark Instrumental Remix)

Russia’s Moonbeam have been gaining momentum over the last few years and with good reason. Formed in Nizhny Novgorod in 2003, brothers Pavel and Vitaliy have been steadily releasing dance floor tracks that weave seamlessly from thick-bellied atmospheric techno to dense charging trance. Storming into DJ Magazine’s Top100 Poll, the two continue to widen their sonic arc with a fabric of different styles and diverse guest vocalists both in their studio and with their live shows.

In 2005, Moonbeam Digital was created, which led them collaborate with some of the scenes most talented producers such as Jeff Bennett, Jon Silva, Joshua Collins, Stephan Hinz and LeRon & Yves Eaux, and others. From here onward Moonbeam’s approach of crafting the most palatable elements of Techno, progressive, trance and house show they have a penchant for big room melodies, striking a tour de force that melds live electronic compounds like a perfectly mixed Russian cocktail.

Despite their array of stadium rocking dj’s, archiving Moonbeam simply under the T of Trance would limit this duo in a musical sense; and despite whatever genre they turn to they certainly have there production sound locked with releases also ranging to deep warm compositions sometimes even complimented with Balearic influences.

Now after almost a decade Moonbeam can count themselves amongst the biggest music exponents in the history of Russian dance music and their latest new album “Around The World” certainly contributes to their status. Currently signed to the multiple award winning Black Hole Recordings, they deliver a high quality twelve track album that raises the bar for future electronic music.

Moonbeam's Tracklist:

01) Moonbeam – Through A Fog
02) ID – ID
03) Andy Duguid – Miracle Moments ft. Leah
04) Moonbeam feat. Blackfeel Wite -  Song For A Girl
05) Avis Vox – Introspection Attemps (Moonbeam Remix)
06) Abakus – Wasted Feeling (Ricky Ryan & Steve Kaetzel Remix)
07) Zoo Brazil – There Is Hope ft. Rasmus Kellerman (Sebastian Krieg & Roman F Remix)
08) Michael Woods – Dynamik
09) Moonbeam feat. Daniel Mimra – Look Around (Moon Stage Mix)
10) Fedde Le Grand, Mitch Crown feat. Mitch Crown – Rockin’ High (Nicky Romero Remix)
11) J-Soul – This Is Not Mario (Re-Zone Remix)
12) Ad Brown and Matt Lange ft. Kerry Leva – As The Rain Falls (Kerry Leva Remix)
13) Moonbeam feat. J-Soul – Life Tree

Tom KC – ‘I've Been Waiting' (Original Mix)
http://soundcloud.com/tom-kc

If you’re looking for some pure main room bigness then look no further than this new production from rising talent Tom KC. A well known presence in the north of England, Tom has played everywhere frm Gatecrasher to Mission, always rocking it as he goes.

‘I've Been Waiting’ is a well produced, well targeted floor filler with requisite big piano chords, cliff-edge breakdowns and inspirational female vocal for extra pout-factor.

Starting with bouncing beats, whooshes of hands in the air noises and a piano euphoria, things only take off onto even higher, more euphoric plains for the rest of the track.

Likely to destroy summer festivals and the main rooms of places like Pacha and MOS, ‘I’ve Been Waiting’ doesn’t keep you waiting long from its first beat before it’ll have you jumping about all over the places remembering why it is we love electronic music so. Big.

FILTH @ Mint / Kaiserdisco & Edu Imbernon / 11th Sept

FILTH @ MINT CLUB, LEEDS / SAT 11TH SEPT 2010

KAISERDISCO
EDU IMBERNON
Luke Pompey
Danny Savage
King Tut & The Wookie

==========================

================

The summer is almost over, the nights are drawing in and Filth is back; back with a new sound. A night that likes to move with the times; to freshen up the music policy whenever necessary, Filth now takes your hand and leads you down an underground electronic path littered with Ibizan and tech house talent.

To kick things of on September 11th a headline slot from Kaiserdisco has been confirmed. Their rise has been lightning fast: since their first record in 2008, they’ve racked up records for Micro.fon, Style Rockets, Terminal M, and My Best Friend — four for the latter label alone, with another two EPs and an album on the way for the Traum sub-label.

Making nice beats somewhere between techno, tech house and even good old minimal, they turn out tunes heavy on the bounce and filled with trippy good vibes and most recently have done so for Adam Beyer’s much lauded Drumcode label. Recently on Pete Tong’s show – all those in the know are getting behind Kaiserdisco.

Next to take the helm is Edu Imbernon. Just 20 years old, Spanish man Edu is a resident out at Space in Ibiza, has recently moved to Berlin and is the owner of Eklektisch, his own record label which is regularly supported by artists like Gregor Tresher, Danny Tenaglia and Gabriel Ananda and has released himself as an artist on labels like Great Stuff, Noir Music, Cr2 records.

The young gun also spins at places like the Zoo Project and Privilege, so really knows his game. He is one of the youngest artists to ever have a record in Beatport’s Top 100 and also regularly tops Resident Advisor’s DJ charts for his original productions on trendy labels like Liebe*Detial.

Residents Luke Pompey (now releasing on Cr2 and Subliminal Records, no less), Danny Savage and King Tut & the Wookie (who between them have played Glasto, Creamfields and warm-up sets for the mighty Deadmau5 out in Mallorca) will serve up more wide eyed tech and house cuts from their clued-up record bags and ensure that every last decibel of Mint Club’s mammoth Funktion One soundsystem is put to best use.

On top of the du jour electronic sounds, a bright and engaging selection of clubbers who love said sounds and the intimate vibes of Mint club, there’s also the added excitement of the Watergate style LED disco panel above the dance floor which adds red warm and blue cool to all the right points in the music.
Filth is back with a vengeance this winter, so keep an eye out for scorching hot line-ups in the future… think Oxia, Tim Green, Butch, Ramon Tapia, Seb Leger, Style of Eye, and you’ll be in the right area!
