Success means different things to different people, however, those that view themselves as being successful must base it on some critical element. What is this element?? and what does success means to you all ??

I think it's subjective, as you suggest, but then there is common ground, or overlap in terms of what people generally deem as constituting success.  Many will count money earned as success.  Others will give more weight to notoriety and respect amongst their peers.  I personally think the latter is a far bigger achievement than anything to do with money.

We were thinking about this kind of thing recently when a writer from Resident Advisor came in to try out one of our courses.  She kept a diary of her progression through the course and her experience as a whole.  It's quite an interesting read and brings up some points relating to this matter.  Here's the article on our blog which has a link to her diary >>

There are some quite interesting comments below the article as well.

Success can be very subjective, but if we base it on money and career, I guess being wise with your chosen field is necessary. I'm a regular office worker five years ago and I find it very stressful and unrewarding plus I don't have enough time for my family. Choosing to become a virtual assistant is the best decision I made as far as my career is concerned. Not only that I have enough time for my family, I am also paid well by my client. Virtual personal assistants are basically secretaries working online. An advantage of being a virtual office assistant is that you'll do basic office tasks (sometimes skill centered) and get paid much more than an office secretary is receiving. In a way, I find making wise and practical decision (just like my career shift) an important element of success.
